TASTE OF EDINBURGH ANNOUNCES NEW EXCLUSIVE VIP PARTNERSHIP
- Hawke & Hunter rebrand to be unveiled at Scotland’s biggest food festival -
Taste of Edinburgh today (2 June 2011), unveiled an exciting new VIP partnership for 2011 which will see one of the city’s most exclusive venues, Hawke and Hunter preview its exciting new name for the first time at the event.
From late July, the exclusive Edinburgh eating and drinking venue will be called No.12 Picardy Place, showcasing a new-look following investment refurbishing the interior. As sponsors of the exclusive VIP tent at this year’s Taste of Edinburgh (1-3 July), the venue will give guests the chance to experience it’s new offering in advance of it’s official launch.
The re-brand moves No.12 Picardy Place in line with other venues in the Brown Taylor Group, including 99 Hanover Street, Edinburgh and 99 Bar and Kitchen, Aberdeen.
Consisting of ‘Restaurant Mark Greenaway’, ‘The Cocktail Bar’, ‘The Secret Garden’ and ‘The Boutique Hotel’, the new-look venue will continue to offer guests some of the best food and drink in Scotland in sophisticated and luxurious surroundings.
In addition to the VIP area Brown Taylor Group will also run the main bar at the show, which will be operated by their new events division, Show Me Fun, set up by TV presenter and fellow entrepreneur Phil MacHugh. Restaurant Mark Greenaway will also be one of fifteen restaurants in this year’s stellar line-up.
No.12 Picardy Place managing director Barrie Brown commented on the partnership and re-brand: “Creating a strong brand which sits alongside our other venues has been a key focus for the brand , and one which makes perfect sense.
“This has been in planning for some time but when we were approached about Taste of Edinburgh 2011 we couldn’t have hoped for better timing or a better platform to launch. We look forward to treating Scotland’s foodies to the No.12 Picardy Place VIP experience in July.”

Taste of Edinburgh returns to it’s original location of the Meadows for the fifth year of Scotland’s biggest food and drink festival. From 1-3 July, some of the finest culinary talent in the country will travel from far and wide for an unforgettable weekend of eating, drinking and entertainment.
Foodie fans will to learn the tricks of the trade as the UK chef talent showcase their skills and expertise with cooking demonstrations at the Taste Theatre while fifteen of Scotland’s best restaurants serve up their finest dishes in an unbeatable alfresco gourmet feast. Visitors can also brush up on their own culinary skills with hands-on AEG Perfekt Cooking Classes with Cook School by Martin Wishart, and sessions at the Waitrose Cookery School, where they can create stunning dishes with the freshest, local and seasonal ingredients.
